Plu.Wellness Corner #1: doTERRA Oils
Oils are a hot trend in the wellness realm. Oils can affect everything from your mood to your physical health. Plus, they are an alternative, natural choice for cleaning and personal hygiene.
My pal Sarah is well-versed in doTERRA Oils and she came over to teach some friends and me a few things about using them in everyday life. She explained there are three ways to use oils; on the skin, in the air and ingesting them.
My absolute favorite is a sleep blend consisting of Serenity blend and Vetiver (a root). I’m telling you, I’ve used this blend mixed with fractionated coconut oil (as a base) for about a month now and I’ve never slept better. I use a roller-ball on the inside of my forearms and behind my ears. Once I’m out, I rarely wake up and if I do, it’s not a struggle to fall back asleep.
As I work in my home office, the diffuser has been helping me focus, pumping a steady, calming stream of Wild Orange into the air. The bright, citrus scent has helped me stay focused. Plus, my office smells so yummy!
My latest healthy habit is putting a drop of turmeric oil in my ginger tea at night. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties and acts as an antioxidant. It’s been known to help with symptoms of depression & arthritis.
