Why take a class instead of heading to You Tube?

In person classes mean hands on instruction, ability to ask questions and application of the skills on the spot.

BONUS: As a thank you, Jen will be taking a portrait of each attendee and will digitally deliver after the class. Update your Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn profile photo OR print a copy for your family!

Must I take both classes? Is one a pre-requisite for the other?

No, you may take one class or both. The technical class is not a pre-requisite to the creative class, however, is encouraged to make the most of it. Please review the topics covered in each class above. Tickets to attend both events will have an additional discount.

What about Covid?
The class will be limited to 6 participants total. The studio will allow for spacing between students and masks may be worn. Students who display any symptoms will be asked to stay home and a digital version of the class will be delivered to you with a follow up from Jen to answer any questions. A signed waiver will be required from each in-person student.

Is there an online option?

Coming soon! The class held on March 12 will be recorded and compiled into an online class that may be purchased and worked on at your own pace. Great for people not local to the MSP area. However, the 1:1 instruction and ability to ask questions right away will not be present in the online option, so I highly recommend attending the in-person.

Is lunch provided if you attend both?

No, however, there is a 90-minute break to ensure you have ample time to grab a lunch and return. You may also stay at the studio if you bring a lunch or have one delivered. There are lots of delicious options minutes away from the studio. A helpful list will be sent prior to the event.

Are there a minimum age requirement?

Middle school aged children are the minimum age recommended. The topics covered are a bit technical for children younger than teenagers.

Is there parking at the event?

Yes, there is free parking on site.

What can I bring into the event?

Please bring your DSLR or mirrorless camera, any lenses or flashes, memory cards, charged batteries and a notebook to take a few notes if that’s your jam.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Jen can be contacted via email at jen@emeraldrue.com.
