MN Landscape Arboretum Family Sunset Photos

Of all the places near the Twin Cities for family sunset photos, I really love the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. The fall is especially beautiful when the trees show off their most beautiful color. The Barin family chose this location and I think the three kids were happiest of all!

Photographing and filming children is one way to keep a young spirit. It’s one of the things I love most about my job. Observing little Alex finding a piece of clay and intensely studying it is endearing. Charlie, the youngest, reaching up into the trees to touch the berries reminds me to cherish the small moments. Olive, the oldest, seeing a statue of a fox and petting it as if it were real sets my imagination afire.

As adults, we lose that sense of imagination and pure wonder about the world. I love the gentle reminders during family sunset photo sessions. Stay curious, friends. In today’s world, it might just save you.
